Baker Roshi’s seminars in the US are mostly held at the Crestone Mountain Zen Center. In Europe, he teaches at the Zen Buddhist Center in the Black Forest and sometimes in conferences elsewhere. Online, he is currently offering the Weekly Zen program.

Join Crestone Mountain Zen Center’s Annual New Year’s Seminar. The seminar features morning and afternoon teaching sessions, discussions, and shared work. On New Year’s Eve, enjoy a festive dinner, dance party, and Zazen meditation leading up to midnight, with participants taking turns ringing the Densho Bell 108 times. The event concludes with a New Year’s Day brunch.

At Crestone Mountain Zen Center, we continue the monastic tradition of the 90–day Practice Period. During the Practice Period residents and students are engaged in a rigorous daily schedule of Zazen, oryoki meals, dharma talks, study, and ceremony.

Baker Roshi is at the Crestone Mountain Zen Center from November through May and at our Center in the Black Forest, Germany, from May through September next year.
