Baker Roshi’s seminars in the US are mostly held at the Crestone Mountain Zen Center. In Europe, he teaches at the Zen Buddhist Center in the Black Forest and sometimes in conferences elsewhere. Online, he is currently offering the Weekly Zen program.

At Crestone Mountain Zen Center, we continue the monastic tradition of the 90‒day Practice Period. During the Practice Period residents and students are engaged in a rigorous daily schedule of Zazen, oryoki meals, dharma talks, study, and ceremony.
Dharma Talk at San Fransisco Zen Center

Dharma talks by Zen teachers are a traditional method of transmitting the heart and understanding of Buddha's Way. Everyone is welcome to attend. In 2025, public Dharma talks will be offered in the zendo rather than the Buddha Hall. Enter through the Laguna Street door.

If you would like to practice at one of our Practice Centers, take a look at our programs. You can come for a seminar, as a volunteer helper, a guest, or apply for a longer stay. Baker Roshi is at the Crestone Mountain Zen Center from November through May and at our Center in the Black Forest, Germany, from May through September next year.
